Written in 1999 at the invitation of Eugene Symphony Orchestra conductor Miguel Harth-Bedoya for his innovative program Tango Lesson, which also featured tangos by Piazzolla, Gardel and Stravinsky, this piece blends tango style with elements of klezmer music.
